Ms. Amanda Pryce: My name is Amanda Pryce and I am the principal at Lyon Elementary School. On behalf of the Lyon staff I'd like to welcome you to a new School Year!

Our school mascot really represents what we strive to do each and every day at Lyon. Lions are family animals and they are social creatures. They live in family units known as prides. These prides can really thrive because their willingness to work together as a team. At Lyon Magnet, our students represent their PRIDE by showing positive words and actions, being responsible for themselves and their learning, showing integrity and honesty, being determined to succeed, setting goals and working towards excellence.

For those new to Lyon we welcome you to our Lyon pride. For those returning, welcome back, we are glad you are here.

Each year our school picks a theme for the year, our students voted for a sports theme, so all students will get a team shirt at the beginning of the school year. These shirts turned out great, and we can’t wait to see what team you'll be on.

To our Lyon families your partnership is invaluable and we appreciate your commitment and support. Let’s make this our best year yet. ROAR!
